Dear Father My All Father, Bless thy humble servant, Who has come before you, To lay his sword besides you , Not to kill you, But as a sign that I pledge my life to Lord, And I do this with my own accord, As forsake all the guilty pleasures of life, I will have neither child nor wife, I will not part take in all worldly pleasures, Not matter how tempting I will not taste the world's treasures, For today I begin my life anew, As I will be reborn in the court of my King,
For whom I will praise and sing, And kiss my Lord's ring, To show my subservience, And I will bow down to show my obedience. I give my heart, body and soul to your cause, To fight and to defend, To help and protect, Those that cannot protect themselves, And to help those that can, So that they themselves can help and serve in turn, To protect our King and not let his Kingdom burn, This is my Knight's prayer to you my Lord, This is our Knight's oath, my Lord.
