I, hypocrite

Writer's picture: Kundai ChabvamuperuKundai Chabvamuperu

I am the hypocrite,

The saint who lies and is a sinner,

The one who said walks in light,

But loves to live in the dark.

I am the one that betrays,

The one who makes wrong decisions and doesn't want to be swayed.

I am a hypocrite and thief,

One whose actions have hurt everyone beyond belief,

I act all righteous and mighty,

Parading myself as a paragon of good,

Behind closed doors never doing things that I should.

I am a hypocrite and I am a liar,

And I deserve to be alone,

And for the first time I am alone,

I have no-one to hold my hand,

And it's all my fault,

So as I accept my fate,

I can see Hell's gate,

And the consequences of my actions,

And as much as I regret, what I have done,

I still hope to one day see the sun,

I am a hypocrite, I am liar and now I am facing the barrel of my own gun.
