She took her seat,
We did a bit of chit chat,
About work, about life about generally this and that.
She told me that she had been all around the world but never to someone's heart,
and her only wish was to meet her true counterpart,
and the truth is even I could see her point,
Because what is life is cant find someone to share it with,
even if most people believe that it's a myth,
isn't it worth holding to even it hurts and you have to grit your teeth.
The waiter arrived and asked if we were ready to order,
She was a bit undecided, her beautiful brain suffering from overloaded choices of what's good and what's best,
The waiter strongly recommended the oysters,
A rare delicacy he said,
"great for such occasions, perfect for the gentle night,"
She asked me what I thought and I that the oysters looked good,
plus they were an aphrodisiac,
She simply laughed and asked
"Do you think that you are going to get lucky?"
And i simply replied ,"I'm just up all night for some good fun."
She let out a small snort,
And from right then and there i knew that I had hit it right on the dot.
I order a commandaria wine, called Ayia Mavri Moshato,
Imported from Cyprus, the island of the Greek goddess of love and beauty,
Only the best I thought because this girl was a cutie.
The rest of the date went well,
As I was under her spell,
She was well read and knew her things well,
I could not help but be mesmerized,
In the awe of her glow, I felt baptized,
Baptized in the river of divine interception,
Because her conversation was so amazing I had to change my perception,
Perception of what I wanted and who I wanted.
We kept talking into the depths of the night,
Until the restaurant was about to close,
and there were no other guests left in sight,
We paid the bill and decided to take our leave,
but the night wasn't over for us,
You better believe,
because I still more to give,
And definitely was still willing to receive...
