What if,...then

What if, I told you that in order to change the world,

All you had to do was to believe ,

What if, I told you that you could impact the.lives of those around you,

By an action so simple that even a child could do it,

What if, I told you that you could achieve all the greatness that you have dreamed of for long,

What if, I told you that you could shoot for the moon,

Land in the stars and shine brighter than the sun,

Then would you believe me?

For so long we have grown to see the world as a dark and dull place,

Where nothing good can come of it,

Where hate, racism and poverty have run so rampant,

And even the greatest among us have been reduced to wearing tattered garments,

Yet what if I told you that all the pain that you see could disappear,

What if I told you, that the cure of all the aforementioned diseases are simple acts of kindness,

What if, I told you that a simple hi or hello would show others that we care,

What if, I told you that all that you had to do was to spare the little that you have in order to save a life,

What if, I told you that a simple conversation with a person from another part of the world could change your life,

Would you then believe me?

Or would you still be pessimistic and see the world through shaded frames in the edge of the shadows?

Or would you dare to stand in the light and be a beacon of hope,

A beacon of what all men can achieve,

A beacon of we should all strive to attain.

What if, I told you that the cure to all the pain in the world is love,

What if, I told you that all the world needed was some compassion and a little faith,

And that your actions and character actually matter,

No matter how big or small you maybe,

Because there is more that you can be,

What if,I told you that all these things come from within,

Would I then be able to change your mind,

Because I want you to know that,

We should see the world for what it could be,

Not for what it is,

What if a little fool's faith is necessary,

And that belief in the fact that men are still good could alter your perception of reality,

And redefine your whole understanding of who you are,

And who you want to be,

What if, you let all the anger, guilt and envy go,

And make peace with your past and accept it,

What if, you used it as a guideline to do better,

In order to become better,

Would you then believe me?

Or would you choose the darkness that's surrounds the world and become one with it?
